Amazing Butterflies Birthday Parties
Celebrate your birthday with butterflies this winter at Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Explore the new, highly interactive exhibition Amazing Butterflies, and enjoy hands-on museum activities. Choose from a premium party that is all about butterflies or add butterfly activities onto your classic birthday party!
Classic add-on (add $100 to classic party fee)
Spread your wings, and explore the world of insects with this special classic birthday party add-on. Learn all about the transformation of caterpillars into butterflies at Amazing Butterflies—an exhibition that shrinks you down to the size of a butterfly for a fun adventure. Build your own butterfly, face off in a butterfly battle for dinner, and enjoy butterfly-themed activities with friendly museum educators.
Available for a limited time only: January 21 — May 2, 2017 during regular museum hours.
Premium Birthday Party
Your group will enjoy private access to Amazing Butterflies, where you and your friends will shrink down to the size of a caterpillar to fend off predators, climb into pupa pods, and soar like a butterfly. Do the caterpillar crawl and scale the spider web to see if you can survive long enough to zip-line your way along the Monarch Migration Monorail. Get an up-close look at butterflies and insects from the museum's hidden collections, and try your hand at collecting (or even pinning!) insect specimens.
Available for a limited time only: January 21 — May 2, 2017, Fridays through Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m.
