Additional 60-Minute activities can be added for $3 per student.

Tour Powdermill Avian Research Center

See wild birds up close, and learn about their biology from Powdermill scientists. Learn about avian research projects to prevent bird-glass collisions during migration, bird banding, and high-tech tracking with nanotags. Please note that tours of the bird banding station may be cancelled in rain or hot weather to protect the health of birds.

A 60-minute tour of Powdermill Avian Research Center (PARC) can be added to your field trip for an additional $5 per student. If you are interested in only touring PARC, and not visiting the nature center as well, please call the PARC office at 724.593.7521.
