SUMMARY:Nature 360: February Nature Lab
DESCRIPTION:It’s the middle of winter\, and you may be wondering\, “Where have all the animals gone?” Let’s find out together! Test the effectiveness of different animal coverings as insulation and compare that to materials we use to insulate ourselves. Conduct a chemical experiment to analyze the energy output of different snacks as you determine what foods might best support animals during long hibernations. Explore how different classes of animals (including humans) are adapted to survive a Pittsburgh winter. \nWe welcome all subscribed kids (ages 8-13)\, as long as one adult accompanies each group. \nAvailable Saturdays\, February 2\, 9\, 16\, and 23\nSession times: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1p.m. – 3p.m. \nAvailable Alternating Thursdays\, February 7 and 21\nSession times: 4p.m. – 6p.m.
