The Natural History of Animal Ambassador Care & Programs
July 22, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Powdermill Nature Reserve

Many aspects of nature and conservation are best explored with a firsthand look at living animals. Meet several live animal ambassadors from Carnegie Museum of Natural History and hear their impactful stories. Senior Program Manager and certified veterinary technician Leslie Wilson will start with a lecture about how the science and natural history of each animal ambassador informs their diet, habitat, care, and enrichment. After the lecture, get a closer look at animal adaptations and behaviors in a drop-in meet and greet session with Leslie and the animal ambassadors.
Events fill up fast! Registration is recommended to guarantee your spot and help us plan timing, seating, and/or trail routes. If there are spots available at the time of the program, non-registered individuals can join on a first-come, first-served basis. Program participants and visitors are expected to adhere to the public health guidance and Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh procedures in place at the time of their visit.
