DESCRIPTION:Let’s get ready for the 2023 Christmas Bird Count (CBC)! Join us at Powdermill Nature Center for a workshop all about this important community science project\, and help tally and identify birds as part of the Rector area count. Hear the rich\, long history of the CBC which now spans nearly 3\,000 areas throughout the Western Hemisphere. Learn about different types of bird feeders and seeds that help attract birds in the winter. If you’re participating in the CBC for other areas of southwestern PA\, this will be a helpful practice run.
