Rediscover Carnegie Museum of Natural History… After Dark. When the lights go down, the music goes up, and an adult-only night at the museum begins. Sip on a cocktail while you gaze up at a T-rex, see exciting shows or live music in the historic Carnegie Music Hall, and enjoy free reign over the halls of Carnegie Museum. Each After Dark has a unique party theme that makes it one of the coolest things to do in Pittsburgh. Programming includes hand-on activities you can take home, live music, demonstrations, and more. Step away from your normal date night or shake up your weekend routine and see who you’ll meet and what you’ll discover…After Dark.
All After Dark guests must be at least 21 years old. Proper identification is required for a fun night at the museum, so all guests must show ID at the door. Jurassic Park After Dark
April 13, 6 – 10 p.m.
Put on your best Dr. Grant or Dr. Sattler duds and enter a Jurassic Park costume contest. Learn more about dinosaur museum specimens with docent-led tours. Watch Jurassic Park with our dinosaur expert and pick his brain about the likelihood of Jurassic Park becoming a reality. Meet live animals that share common ancestors with dinosaurs. Investigate Jurassic era and lab created specimens from our vaults. Cap off the night with an encounter and photo opportunity with our animatronic dinosaur puppets Spinosaurus and Anzu wyliei! Enjoy exclusive access to the museum’s permanent collection and hands-on spaces and experience fun-filled entertainment and music.
