What is a rock? What is a mineral? Identify rocks and minerals based on color, shape, and other physical properties. Use your new skills, and go on a quest for rocks and minerals at the museum. Conduct hands-on experiments to test chemical and physical properties of minerals.
Merit Badge pre-requisites: Geology NONE
Merit Badge requirements met during workshop: Geology 1-3, 4b, 5c, or 5d
Required adult chaperones may register at no charge: one BSA registered adult per five scouts for groups or one BSA registered adult per independent scout. Chaperone requirements ensure that all workshop activities maintain two-deep leadership. Badge pre-requisites and requirements met during the workshop are listed with each badge.
