Biography
Amy Covell-Murthy is the Archaeology Collection Manager and Head of the Section of Anthropology at Carnegie Museum of Natural History. She received her MLA in Museum Studies from Harvard University Extension School in 2021.
Her interests focus on Eastern Woodlands archaeology, museum ethics, the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), decolonization Initiatives, and object storage solutions. In particular, she is interested in how we care for human remains in museums and other collecting institutions.
