Research Permits at Powdermill Nature Reserve
Researchers should submit individual permit applications and proposals at least four weeks in advance to begin study at Powdermill Nature Reserve. All research must be approved before work begins. Applications are evaluated based on scientific merit and potential environmental impact. Proposed projects are reviewed to ensure they will not conflict with ongoing work or compromise the integrity of the reserve or the future health of its habitats. If there are potential conflicts with other research projects, we will work with you to modify the research study plan so your objectives can be met. Projects that involve experimental manipulations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In general, manipulations must be small either in scale or effect.
